At Umi to Yama Counselling and Consulting, we provide professional, confidential counselling services tailored to your needs. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your relationship, our counselling rates are transparent and competitive. Counselling rates have been established in consultation with the BCACC Fee Guide 2024.
- Payment is due at the time of service unless arranged in advance.
- We accept credit card, e-transfer, and cash. Credit card payment will be completed through Jane App.
- Receipts are provided for insurance reimbursement if you have extended health benefits.
To honour your appointment time and to provide access to others, a 48-hour cancellation notice is required. If you are a no-show or do not provide a notice of cancellation 48 hours before the scheduled session, the full session fee will be charged except in the case of emergencies. Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled on Jane App or by emailing hello@umitoyamacounselling.ca.
We believe quality mental health care should be accessible and inclusive. If cost is a barrier, we may be able to discuss reduced-rate options or refer you to low-cost counselling alternatives. For questions about fees, coverage, or to book a session, please contact us.
At this time, we do not offer direct billing to private insurance companies. However, we will provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your extended health benefits provider for possible reimbursement.
Please note the following:
- Coverage for counselling services varies between insurance plans.
- It is your responsibility to check with your provider to confirm whether services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) are covered.
- At Umi to Yama Counselling and Consulting, we are currently only offerings services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
We are happy to answer any questions about what information you may need to provide to your insurer.
